Job Roles

  • Provide and encourage excellent customer service to PACE participants.
  • Ensure PACE participants are oriented to the program and have opportunities to express their opinions about the care and services received.
  • Monitor, investigate, and track all PACE participants' grievances and incidents to ensure prompt resolution to their issues.
  • Proactively engage with PACE Executive team to further program development, and project development or implementation.
  • Build positive relationships, inspire others to perform at a higher level, prepare career development plans, and retain an accountable workforce.
  • Meet regularly with direct reports to review goals, trends and performance measures to facilitate change as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and ensure appropriate Lean tools (i.e., 5S, A3) are deployed and results are evaluated and/or measured.
  • Coach and counsel staff and administer appropriate disciplinary action in a timely manner.
  • Ensure staff receive all new hire and annual trainings on time.
  • Provide leadership and facilitate the interdisciplinary health care team meetings for development and implementation of care plans.
  • Develop and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the execution, maintenance and coordination of subcontracted services.
  • Ensure the adequacy of equipment and supplies.
  • Develop and recommend the annual budget for center operations and monitor by service and per member.
  • Prepare and submit statistical and other reports required by management, funding or contracting agencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a health, gerontology, or human services field, or RN degree/diploma required.
  • Master's degree preferred in Finance or Business
  • Ability and means to travel as needed in a timely manner within San Diego County, to locations that may have limited access to public transportation; proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required. DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Age 21; Licensed for a minimum of 3 years; No violations and/or accidents within 3 years; No vehicle related suspensions/reinstatements; No DUI, reckless or felony Driving within 7 years.

Experience/Specialized skills (including Language)

  • 3 - 5 years of health care experience demonstrating progressively responsible positions in supervision, management or leadership roles, preferably in a geriatric care setting.
  • Experience caring for seniors or elderly in an assisted living program or nursing home that provide services to disabled or elderly adults.
  • Experience with a PACE Program or adult day health center setting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of health administration and personnel management.
  • Knowledge of health care delivery systems, regulations, quality assurance and medical and non-medical needs of the elderly highly desired.
  • Strong ability to plan, organize and direct the work of others.
  • Demonstrated skills in customer and patient satisfaction, and strong service recovery skills.
  • Knowledge of budget preparation, budget management and financial accountability preferred.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills, computer skills, and good oral and written communication skills.
  • Works well independently and within the group process.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
