GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Provides support and coordination of assigned support services site(s) and/or program(s) to ensure maximum utilization of support services staff. Coaches and consults lower level support services staff on established policies and procedures. Compiles and analyzes basic data utilizing spreadsheet software. Will also perform the role of lower level staff.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Compile and analyze department and/or program specific metrics to improve the delivery of services.
  • Review and evaluate current service delivery processes to ensure they meet department standards. Propose enhancements and/or new approaches to better deliver services.
  • Serve as a team lead through the coaching and mentoring of lower level staff.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of department related processes, projects and or events.
  • Respond to and resolve moderately complex escalated issues to ensure the timely resolution.
  • Assist the Manager to review employee training to ensure lower level staff is knowledgeable with the most current policies and procedures in addition to meeting any related compliance related training.
  • Maintain department policies and resources to include keeping up to date forms and templates.
  • Develop department related electronic presentations and communications utilizing presentation and word processing tools.
  • The background of incumbents in this role may vary; incumbents in this role will be expected to regularly perform the same role as lower level staff based on their qualifications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in health and human services, Nutrition or related field is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of prior experience providing health education. The equivalent combination of experience and education can be substituted for years of experience.
  • Certification(s): Lactation Education Certificate preferred. International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) preferred. Certified Childbirth Educator (CCCE) preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES (KSA)

  • Bilingual (Read, Speak & Write) in English/ Spanish required.
  • Ability to communicate both written and verbally.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, time-management skills, and strong motivation to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact professionally with both internal and external individuals from various levels and discipline within in the company, in addition to individuals with diverse multi-cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to comprehend information from multiple sources to determine a course of action.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base range for this position, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.

$23.00 - $32.10

If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
