This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at Greenwich Drive and remote.

This is a full-time process improvement and training role consisting of classroom, onsite and virtual training support. Responsible for instructional design and education on multiple applications and workflows across all related Health Information Management departments and applications.

Participates in end user workflow analysis and validation during system planning and design phases while applying root cause analyses methodologies to properly diagnose registration process failures. Facilitate and manage cross-functional training improvement initiatives while working with internal customers, stakeholders, and business leaders to identify the gap between current and desired result. Trainer will work closely with all locations and roles performing registrations to continually re-educate based on quality assurance findings.

The scope of knowledge and education/training content for this role include but are not limited to: Epic's Health Information Management modules such as Medical Records, Deficiency Analysis, Identity, Release of Information, CDI, Hospital Coding and Hospital Revenue Integrity. Also, the training and development of other third-party integrated applications such as 3M 360 and OnBase.

Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement Director and Revenue Cycle Leadership to reduce registration-related errors and mitigate controllable loss utilizing the Lean Management Methodology. Serves as the liaison and client manager between the Continuous Improvement Team, Revenue Cycle, Operational Departments, external partners, and vendors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Nine (9) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus five (5) years of related experience/training.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Epic Health Information Management and Identity application experience.

  • Extensive knowledge on Epic HIM and Identity workflows as it pertains to an academic institution or large integrated health system and Epic usage best practices.

  • Strong analytical, planning, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Strong research skills including gathering and analyzing data from multiple sources.

  • Effective technical writing skills.

  • Strong project management skills including interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Experience in adult learning and education plus excellent facilitation, consultative and presentation skills are required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications.

  • Must be self-directed and able to work autonomously in a professional and productive manner.

  • Certified or Strong Epic Experience as a Super User in HIM application(s).

  • Combined experience with HIM Operations and Hospital Coding.

  • Experience with e-learning software applications such as Articulate or Captivate.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $82,500 - $151,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $39.51 - $72.56

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
