Mental Health Manager - SUD Department

Family Health Centers of San Diego is looking for a Mental Health Manager to provide care and oversight in our Substance Use Disorder Services Department. This position will be at a new facility and is a great chance to have a strong impact in our community.

Responsibilities:

  • Build positive relationships and coach your team
  • Provide operational oversite of your location and staff
  • Collect and analyze data, prepare necessary reports, and develop improvement plans as necessary
  • Provide direct patient services as appropriate within scope of licensure
  • Actively participate in organizational planning and implementation activities
  • Oversee project planning, implementation, and assessment
  • Ensure applicable regulatory and department standards are met or exceeded on an ongoing basis (i.e., JCAHO, OSHA, Safety Standards, etc.)
  • Ensure assigned clinics and/or programs are managed in a fiscally responsible manner as directed in collaboration with other FHCSD departments and clinics
  • Ensure assigned site is well maintained and in compliance with FHCSD policies.
  • Work collaboratively with other managers in addressing and servicing difficult patients
  • Ensure mental health staff are kept informed and adhere to policies and procedures
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and ensure appropriate Lean tools (i.e., 5S, A3) are deployed and results are evaluated and/or measured.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Current California state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker
  • The ability to provide clinical supervision
  • Current American Heart Association healthcare provider CPR (BLS), or Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, or Advance Resuscitation Training.
  • Ability and means to travel as needed in a timely manner within San Diego County, to locations that may have limited access to public transportation; proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to community medicine and providing culturally competent care to the medically underserved.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base range for this position, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.

$103,000.00 - $123,000.00

If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
